In the world of automotive innovation, durability is the cornerstone of excellence. Volkswagen India, in association with Apollo Tyres, set out to test their durable partnership, carving a name in history. Setting a national record with a 24-hour endurance drive at NATRAX (National Automotive Test Tracks) in Indore, Volkswagen’s Virtus and Taigun, fitted with Apollo Tyres, covered a remarkable distance that is one for the record books.
As vehicles navigate continuously for 24 hours in varying day and night light conditions at high speed, the reliability of the tyres becomes paramount. This unprecedented challenge was a bold move to showcase the strength and durability of Volkswagen cars and Apollo Tyres, where their partnership was put through a gruelling 24-hour test. The atmosphere was electric as motor enthusiasts cheered the drivers on. As the hours passed and the challenge intensified, the cars and tyres were put through the ultimate test, only to come out as absolute conquerors of the track.

  • Volkswagen pitched 5 cars, each running at different speeds, using varying speed strategies. The objective of the event was to showcase the durability of both cars and tyres.

Vikram Garga, Group Head Marketing, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Apollo Tyres added, “Apollo Tyres - a brand known for performance, truly delivers world records, creates records, beats records. That's the reason why we are here at NATRAX. Last time, we broke the 2-wheeler tyre endurance record, and today we broke a record in the 4-wheeler tyre segment with Passenger Vehicles -- SUVs and Sedans. Our aim was to go past 4,385 kms in 24 hours, and we did much more than that to set a new national record. This is another testament to Apollo Tyres' commitment towards performance, reliability and comfort.”
This was not just a mere test of the machine, the rubber and steel; it was a testament to the tireless pursuit of excellence in an ever-evolving industry. By achieving these feats, Volkswagen and Apollo Tyres have proven themselves to be stalwart companions on the track, exhibiting unparalleled durability and reliability even in the face of the most demanding conditions. Their exceptional commitment to excellence and grip ensured unwavering stability, instilling confidence in drivers as they navigated turns with ease. It's no wonder they're trusted by drivers and are praised for their resilience to make every drive a safe and comfortable one.
